i got cravings for the past week already
so baby and i decide to go to the Flyer's for dinner :p  2 piece chicken set X2 ^^
 
 :p
failed shot and the more successful one :p
 
went to walk around Flyer after dinner :D
 and we saw this o.O
and what the hell was Mercat? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  =.="
Mercat = Merlion + Fortune Cat
wth
like that also can?
then we stumble upon this nice resting place
got nice leather sofa somemore
and its near the sea, windy & very quiet :)

i think we could really just rot there all the way
but me being me, i want to continue to walk around :p
so reluctantly, baby got to pull away from the sofa :p kekex
went to explore the yakult trial thingy
looks small from the outside but it actually quite big
got many man-made waterfalls
and even koi ponds :)
can buy food to feed the koi(s) too
in the "cave"
the ah beng & ah lian :p
muahahahas
my hair is naturally brown ^^
 
 my lousy camera couldnt capture good photos at night
but the waterfall's lighting in the cave is really very nice :)

 the background is suppose to be another waterfall :)
then we found ah meng!!! :p
LOLS
there is some zoo tourist centre there with ah meng look-alike soft toy outside :p
 
 "ah meng" have very long arms~~ LOLS
 
there really isnt much things to shop at Flyer
most are F&B outlets
so we decide to walk back to marina square :)
on the way out
 i couldnt resist the temptation to do this :x hahas
walk past the toy grabbings machines area in marina square
 poor mickey got to go round and round and carrying its own head somemore :x
baby decided to try his luck on the machines
but no luck lehx :x
so no soft toy for me
hahahas
spent the rest of the night checking out different stores
looking at super cute soft toys at Cactus
trying chio heels at Topshop
chio jackets at Mango
etc
most of the stores are closing already though :x
off home a while later...
had a tiff with baby back home :x
but baby apologised and me too
baby say its all about communication
as long as we explain why certain things happen, nothing is not resolvable :)
thanks baby, for being patient, for relenting
i am glad we emerged stronger :) |

you know, afternoons are really the time when i like to reflect stuffs
or it just happens that i reflects stuffs in the afternoon

there had been many attempts but i guess all females bear some kind of grudges here and there so this may not be my last :p hahahahas really want to shout it loud though cant do it literally in office of course so here goes...

Finally!! :)
everything about my flings with Volkswagon
from the earliest to the latest :p
14-15 March 2009: Passat CC
none of our jobs were fixed
thus there were a lot of job rotations so we kind of do anything and everything :)
from clickers to managing kids' corner top surveyors etc
this was my first assignment with Volkswagen :)
 the team :)
the insanely expensive VW rides for kids
   
 the car ^^
 survey forms ;p i was one of the surveyors :)
 
half the showroom was going through renovations
 
 pastries ^^
  at kids' corner :p
 the $3000-a-day-rental massage chair
 heating up the window paint arts
Jia jia & i are camwhores :p
guess we were abit bored..kekex..

4-5 April 2009: Golf
i was attached to the test drive counter for the whole 2 days
a new position which i quite like
cause its customer service :)
very me ^^
 our very white tables and very white chairs
we realise Volkswagen like things to be white
nearly everything in their showroom is white
a very "clean" look :)
it was raining thus they had to take out the umbrellas
the not so "Volkswagen" umbrellas
hahahas
 
 i dont like the name of this model
hahahas
sound so cheena-ish :x
 
  
this time they had other refreshments other than the normal pastries
there is popcorn and ice cream
the popcorn machine was under our charge
Michelle was the one doing it this time :)

25-26 April 2009: Jetta TSI
i was back at the test drive counter again
since i know all the procedures and salespersons by the name :)
the counter had become my baby and i am not complaining about the job
i mean, who dont like to sit down all day :p
but it can be a tough job too (plus butt can become uber pain) :x
cork-ups are frequent
and handling the salespersons
tsk
they are both..good and bad..hahahs
but i guess thats what makes customer service jobs difficult - handling the people involved
especially demanding onces
not much photos this time
i am also not sure why
just a few pics of the new car, my counter etc
 
 they are promoting the boot size of the Jetta
imagine we had to remove all the golf balls and put them into boxes when we clear up on sunday
=.=
and dont be surprise that you have lesser golf balls at the end of the 2 days
cause customers will take one!
yes!
you think they are rich and they dont do such things
so wrong man
those cheapo ppl
come and see and test drive and eat refreshments but dont buy cars ones
zzzz

25-26 July 2009: New Golf GTI
After a long hiatus
Volkswagen is out with a new Golf
and of course i am in the temp staff team :p
the turnout wasnt as good as expected
and it was the worse i had seen in the 4 shows i did
maybe its the price *shrugs*
well, standing and doing nothing but still get paid may sound nice
but, still very tiring can :(
legs were aching like mad and cant sit down during working hours :x
the new Golf GTI
 
there were changes to my test drive counter
the procedure etc
and from the white tables and chairs
to this mean looking counter with the carpets and queue counter
more efficient i guess
but no more chairs!!
i got to stand all the way :(
 
 the queue numbers counter
for every customers that register for their test drive (dont need to have bought the car)
they gave them a lanyard (the metal buckle is those solide and real heavy kind),
with a card which will show their name, queue number and salesperson's name
i took one and made one card myself :p kekex
but when i was taking pics pf the whole place
i realise that the lanyard is selling for freaking $30!!!!
can you imagine how much VW is spending just to attract more customers?
and of course we have cheapo customers who want the lanyard for themselves, for their kids,
or registered for "test drive" (just for the lanyard only) =.=
 
we had popcorn and ice cream again
Sinda was the (popcorn) man!!
hahahahs
eversince he got praise by a customer for making world best popcorn in the last show
he had been nearly permanently in charge of the machine :p
 
and on top of the above 2
we got the cotton candy machine
and Sinda is here again!
cause he swop with another guy :p
 
the new popcorn man :p
 
we did an experiment and use the pink cotton candy to make pink popcorn
which taste exactly like the yellow one just a different colour :D
and vis visa, yellowish orange cotton candy using the yellow popcorn sugar :)
hahahahas
then we got adventurous and tried mixing the sugars
conclusion is pink and yellow sugar give you pretty orange popcorn
but taste weird :x
me!!! ^^
we all wore "ursher" tags :p
 
another new thing was this 3D show
they had two screens
one was transparent, in between, to make the 3D effect
quite cool :p
 
 
and the ever-present kid's corner
so little kids
more emphasis of the small turnout of customers

 they had a few computers around for customer's use
all are Apple Macs lo
i guess thats the only computer that is atas and white enough to go with their whole showroom theme :p
i didnt take a picture but even their fire extinguisher box (build in the wall kind) is white lo
imagine if there is a fire
i doubt anyone can easily spot the extinguisher =.=

they use Kenko staffs this time
actually most of us are nearly standing like them with nothing much to do
too little customers le :x
i realise there are more models of those insanely expensive kids' rides
   $219 each!!! o.O
nothing even those run-by-battery kind..tsk..brands =.="

can see the turnout was quite bad
i was able to even shoot spots that looks super empty :x
   
   
 
and lastly, the team this time ^^
the one in blue is our new event manager, Samantha
she was really better than the previous one :)
and there is some new faces this time too :)
on the whole
doing this event is always a tiring one
especially when i have to work again on monday
is like 7 days work week
but for the money and a job that really isnt that tough
i guess its worth it :)
that is if my pay dont get drag until weeks later again
my last pay came 2 months later =.=
is lucky i dont need the money urgently lo
tsk
but i guess Samantha will try her best to fight for us this time :D
so thats all for my flings with Volkswagen for now
i do hope there will be a next one and a next one and a next one and a next one...
hahahas
its fun to work with friends and with little responsibilities :p |
